Superman was born on the planet Krypton. His father was a scientist. Superman was rocketed to Earth before Krypton was destroyed. A Kansas farmer and his wife raised Superman as Clark Kent. Clark Kent had supernatural powers when he reached adulthood. He worked for the Daily Planet as a journalist, and we all know who he loved, Lois Lane.

Superman was described as, “Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound… It’s Superman”! Superman powers included super speed, vision, hearing, super breath that allowed Superman to blow out freezing temperatures, stop high winds, and super strength. There was nothing that Superman couldn’t do.

Everyone can remember when Clark Kent would go into the phone booth, then bam, Superman emerged! Superman soon came to cartoons, television series, and many movies of Superman was created. The Superman cartoons premiered in the forties. Christopher Reeve played Clark Kent in several of the Superman movies.

Watching the Superman shows the audience wanted Clark Kent to tell Lois Lane that he was Superman. Everyone wanted that love to blossom between the two. Superman’s main enemy was Lex Luthor. Lex Luthor had a personal vendetta against Superman.

The name Superman brings back so many memories to fans. Everyone fell in love with Superman, and kids today quickly become fans. Watching one of the Superman movies that was made in the seventies can bring back memories.
