The US Department of Agriculture oversee the National Forest Service and they focus on water, air, and soil quality and restoration to improve natural resources as part of their mission to protect the many National Forest that are available for our recreational use. Two of their most famous mascots are Smokey the Bear, who reminds us that "Only you can prevent forest fires" and Woodsy Owl who tells us to "Give a hoot—don't pollute!"
