Bon Scott replaced Dave Evans. If you were a teenage in the eighties, you probably were a fan of AC/DC. AC/DC was a rare, outstanding band that rocked.

Highway to Hell climbed the charts worldwide. The song Highway Hell was amazing. Who can’t remember the lyrics? “Living easy, loving free Season tickets on a one-way ride. Asking nothing, leave me be Taking everythin’ in my stride. Don’t need a reason, don’t need a right. There ain’t nothin’ I’d rather do. Goin’ down, party time. My friends are gonna be there too. I’m on the Highway to Hell!” Remember, you and your friends would crank this song anywhere. This was one of the best AC/DC songs.

The next album for AC/DC was Back in Black. Back in Black was one of the bestselling albums of all times. Back in Black featured the hit songs, You Shook Me All Night Long, Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution, and the Hells Bells song. The Hells Bells song features the bell ringing in the intro.

For Those About to Rock We Salute You was released in 1981. The For Those About To Rock reached number thirteen quickly, then Let’s Get it Up followed quickly. This is one of the epic heavy metal albums of the eighties.

The AC/DC logo was created by Bob Defin and Gerard Huertra. The lettering was a gothic style that was inspired by a font the two found in a Gutenberg’s Bible. The lightning bolt in the center and the red-blood like coloring suggest the presence of an angelic influence.

Angus Young dressed as a young school boy while performing. The fans love the look that Angus Young sported, and at 53 he still wears the same kind of school boy uniform costume. Bon Scott was pronounced dead on February 19, 1980. The band was working on a new album, which was to become Back in Black. Unfortunately, Bon Scott never lived to see the finish and success of Back in Black.

In September 2014, AC/DC announced plans for a worldwide tour, but Malcolm Young had departed from the band. The band is releasing the Rock or Bust album on November 28, 2014.
