Bruce Lee was born on November 27, 1940 in San Francisco, California. His father appeared in several movies, and introduced Bruce Lee to the industry. His family raised him in Kowloon, but Bruce moved back to the United States to attend the University of Washington, where he started teaching martial arts. Bruce started training before he was sixteen years old.

Bruce Lee performed in the Long Beach International Karate Championships in 1964. He performed the “One inch punch”, and the “Two finger push-ups”. He met Jhoon Goo Rhee at the Championships, and he taught Bruce new martial art maneuvers and tricks. In 1964, Bruce Lee had a private match with Wong Jack Man. Wong Jack Man was an expert in Xingyiquan, and T’ai chi ch’uan. The match only lasted three minutes with Bruce Lee as the winner.

Bruce Lee appeared in twenty films before he was eighteen years old. In 1967, Bruce played Kato in the television series Batman, and made guest appearances in Blondie, Ironside, and Here Comes the Brides. In 1971, Bruce played in the Big Boss, and had a leading role, which led him to star in the Fist of Fury, and Way of the Dragon. In the Way of the Dragon, Bruce Lee was able to choreograph all the fight scenes.

Bruce Lee collapsed on May 10, 1973 in Hong Kong. Bruce Lee was doing work on set for the movie Enter the Dragon. Two months later on July 20, 1973 Bruce Lee was having dinner with James Bond and George Lazenby. He complained of having a headache, so he was given a painkiller that also was a muscle relaxer. That evening he could not be woke up.
