Will Ferrell is one of the most successful and prolific comedic actors in the past 20 years. He began his career with the comedy troupe, The Groundlings in Chicago, and joined Saturday Night Live in 1995. In his tenure at SNL, he developed many memorable characters like Spartan cheerleader Craig Buchanan, fictional Blue Oyster Cult member Gene Frenkle (More Cowbell!) and night clubber Steve Butabi (in a sketch that was turned into a feature film in 1998's A Night at The Roxbury). He impersonated Alex Trebek, Robert Goulet, Saddam Hussein, and President George W. Bush, a characterization he reprised on the Broadway stage with the one-man show entitled You Are Welcome America: A Final Night With George W. Bush.
He has a long list of movie credits which include (but are not limited to) Old School, Elf, Kicking and Screaming, Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and he created the hysterical persona Ron Burgundy in the movies Anchorman (I and II). He has been the voice behind many favorite animated characters, including Ted in Curious George, and Megamind in the DreamWorks movie of the same
As iff that did not keep him busy enough, in 2007 he launched the streaming video website “Funny or Die” with business partner Adam McKay.
