John Lennon NYC Icon Photo 2-sided T-Shirt
This licensed John Lennon shirt features photographer Bob Gruen's icon 1974 portrait of John Lennon. The photo became one of the most poignant and iconic photos of the 20th century. John Lennon loved NYC and the anonymity that New Yorker granted him, but the US Government forced him to fight a prolonged immigration battle to stay in New York City. In 1980, he was shot at the entrance of the building where he lived in New York City. In the days following his murder, a vigil was organized in Central Park, and the Gruen photo of Lennon was the centerpiece image of that vigil.
The back of the shirt has the lyrics from the song, Image: "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one"
