The Clash T-Shirts

The Clash were an English band that performed a mixture of punk rock and ska. The band was formed in 1976. The band members included Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon, and Nicky “Topper” Headon. The Clash debuted their first album on July 4, 1976. The Clash had only practiced and rehearsed together as a band for less than thirty days when they debuted the album. The Clash made their first life performance when they opened up for the Sex Pistols.

In 1977, The clash released “White Riot”. “White Riot immediately went to the top of the record charts. In 1979, The Clash released “London Calling”. “London Calling” was a double album that had a variety of music such as rock, punk, rockabilly, and reggae. The album hit the top of the charts.

Nicky “Topper” Headon was addicted to heroin, and the band members asked him to leave the band in 1982. Mick Jones was fired from the band in 1983. The Clash hired Nick Sheppard and Vince White to replace the two previous band members, and the new Clash started recording a new album called “Cut the Crap”.

The Clash got their first number one hit in the United Kingdom with the “Should I Stay or Should I Go” song. The song was redone, then released in 1991 where it shot up to number one on the charts. A live album was finally released, which was called, “From Here to Eternity”.

The Clash was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 2003. Joe Strummer passed away on December 22, 2002 from congenital heart failure. He didn’t get to see the band be inducted into the hall of fame, and the band’s chance of ever doing a reunion tour ended.

The Clash released “Sound System”, a box set that features The Clash’s music. A DVD that has unseen footage is also included in the box set for fans. The Clash only released six studio albums. The Clash First Album Cover T-Shirt is identical to The Clash’s first album. The album was released in 1977, features the vintage pock rock that we all know The Clash to be.
