Bob Marley T-Shirts

Bob Marley was born on February 6, 1945 as Robert Nesta Marley. Bob Marley was a reggae singer, musician, songwriter, and guitarist. He was born in Nine Mile, Jamaica. Bob Marley recorded, “Judge Not”, “Do You Still Love Me?”, “Terror”, and “One Cup of Coffee” in 1962. A year later Bob Marley and several other musicians came together for the band, The Teenagers. That name was changed to The Wailing Rude boys, then again changed to The Wailing Wailers. That name was again changed to just The Wailers.

The Wailers released their first album, “Catch a Fire” in 1973. The same year they released, “Burnin”, which included the hit song, “I Shot the Sherriff”. The Wailers broke up in 1974, but Bob Marley continued recording as Bob Marley & The Wailers. Bob Marley released, “No Woman, No Cry”, then, “Rastaman Vibration” in 1976. This album reached the top fifty on the Billboard charts.

In 1977, Bob Marley moved to England where he released, “Exodus”, and “Kaya”. Bob Marley released another album two years later, “Survival”, which was a politically influenced album. The song, “War” was included on this album. Bob Marley’s last album was, “Uprising”, which was released in 1980.

Bob Marley died on May 11, 1981 in Miami, Florida. Bob Marley was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma under his toe nail, but refused to have the toe removed, because of religious beliefs. Bob Marley’s final words to his son Ziggy was, “Money can’t buy life”.

Bob Marley supported the legalization of marijuana. He used marijuana as a healing herb, and was arrested for being caught with marijuana in 1968. Bob Marley thought that marijuana was a factor for his religious growth and beliefs.
